Catchin' Up With The Bentonville
Troop
On morning of August 4, I had the amazing privilege of catching up with the youth of Bentonville 1st A.G. From January to June of this year, I was the “Artist–In-Resident” Worship Pastor for this church and was blessed with a few hundred adopted family members. So, these guys became special fairly quickly. This particular group of kids, 27 in all, were caravanning it to Charlotte, N.C. for the Nationals Level of the A.G. Fine Arts Festival.
What closer connects us are the “Human-Videos” that 3 of the groups are performing. These are basically choreographed adaptations set to songs of their choosing. The songs they used were all from my album: Eyes Wide Open, Secrets, and The Bubble. The first time they performed these dramas for me I was authentically blown away.
They represent some of the unexpected blessings God has overwhelmed me with along the way of this seasonal journey in my life. I so wish them the best in everything they put their hands to.
